Sunday 15th September 2019 was a special day for Wendy Ridley as she played Erica Ward in the finals of the South Middlesex League Ladies Championship, held at Bishop Duppas. After a nail biting session Wendy went on to win 21-17. Watched by supporters from Staines and other clubs she weathered a late comeback by Erica.
That’s two consecutive years a lady from Staines has won the championship, after Dot Stanners' win in 2018. Well done Wendy!

More success for the Ladies ... At the Middlesex Ladies Presentation dinner in October Rita Moore and and Dot Stanners received the runner-up trophy for the Ladies over 55's pairs, and Rita, Wendy Ridley (not shown) and Dot were runners-up in the County benevolent triples.
Trophies were presented by Hazel Markes, President of Bowls England.

We also collected the Middlesex Bannerette Certificate for beating the County in our centenary match.
