We had a very enjoyable match against Ottershaw (below) on 30th April. It was a Staines win but a great game of bowls on a fine day.
A fine Saturday afternoon on 10th June saw us play Stanwell in the SML...
...a fine game and a 10-point win for Staines...
On 30th July we played the traditional three-way Spelthorne Trophy Day against Bishop Duppas and Fordbridge Park, hosted by Fordbridge.
This was an all-day event and the weather started very fine, but soon the clouds came over and by lunchtime the umbrellas were out...Undaunted, we played on...
Our perserverance paid off and at the end the scoreboard said it all!...
We won the Trophy for the first time in a while...
...and celebrated in the traditional way!
On 6th September we played our long-awaited return match against the Chelsea Pensioners at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
It was a memorable and very pleasant day out... the score is not important but we met old friends and enjoyed a great game of bowls and fine hospitality.

Eric Moore accepted the Trophy for the winners of the Monday Night League on behalf of the teams led by Derek Keogh and Chris Morrison. We came first and second in the League.
